My sister, who lived in Canada for the past 7 years, lived in Greece before that :). In spring 2021, she and her family moved back to Greece. So we were lucky enough to get to know Kardamily a few years ago.Why visit this beautiful town of Kardamyli on the Mani peninsula? It is a charming little town 273 km from Athens and 35 km south of Kalamata that's well worth a visit. The village is so picturesque, you can easily spend a day in a coffee shop with a good book or your laptop. ( At least if you are traveling without children tho :) ) There are also some nice little shops, taverns, cafes, and bars. The main road runs right through the town, but the small streets will take you down to the beautiful rocky beaches. Don't forget to explore the old town, too. On the east side of the main street, you can follow a path (easy to find) to the old town of Kardamyli, I promise the view is worth the walk in the high temperatures.
